My friend Nancy spotted this fun offer on DealSaver for those of you who have been looking for petting zoos And pumpkin patches!
It’s a family pass to Old McDebbie’s and Jim’s U-Fish in Spanaway. 15.00 includes family admission to the farm, access to the petting zoo with a bag of food for the animals, the nature trail, and two small pumpkins. Trout fishing and pony rides are extra-Can I be honest? I really hate add-on pricing, but if you check it out before you go and discuss with the kids what you’re going to do/going to save for another day, I think you’ll be o.k.
Old McDebbie’s is in my list of places to pet and feed animals, but I’m a little embarassed to admit we’ve never been there! Fortunately, my friend Nancy has, and she left this at the Facebook page:
My boys are a bit old now, but this was a favorite a few years ago…….Debbie and Jim are the best and will make sure the kids have a great time whether they like pumpkins, fishing, or petting the farm animals.
SFM Note: I heard from several other readers at the Facebook page who also highly recommend this spot, especially for young animal lovers. I also got an email from reader, Gramma Barb, who wants you to be sure to know that it is a muddy farm, so you should wear boots. She didn’t think the porta-pottie situation was ideal for little ones. We’re looking forward to checking this out, but we’ll make sure to byohs (that’s Bring Your Own Hand Sanitizer).
If you’d like to pick this one up, you can just head here. For more options for animal lovers, check out my post on where to pet and feed animals around here. Of course, you can also find other other options in my pumpkin patch list. Scholz Farm and Lattin’s are particularly good choices for kiddos who love four legged friends. I also have a few more deals for you to consider in my Deal of the Day page.
