Monday
Story time is back at all area libraries! Every day this week, there are multiple events for all ages. Here is the link for Pierce County (change the date in the calendar on the left). Here is the link for the Tacoma Public Library (change the date in the calendar on the left). If you’re one of my Thurston County readers, here is the link to Timberland regional library. Use the calendar to the left to look for kids’ story times. Here is the link for my Kitsap readers, and here is the link to the King County Library System (You can search by individual library).

Meet a firefighter at the Tumwater Library 10:30 for kids 3-6
An evening with Rosemary Wells An event for ADULTS with the creator of Max and Ruby, among others. Talk about early literacy, teaching, and an opportunity to purchase and have books signed. Doors open at 6PM; first come; first served seating. This is not a children’s event, so don’t bring ’em!
Tuesday
All ages drop-in time at Jump! in Gig Harbor 3:30-5:30
Wrestle Mania Reading Challenge Kick-Off at the Fife Library Open to kids in grades 5-12; win a trip to WrestleMania
Read with a Dog at the Summit Library Kids can drop in and practice their reading skills with a patient, canine listener 4-5PM
Fetch Club at the Tillicum Library Science themed club for kids in grades 3-5 based on the popular, PBS series. No registration required at this location. 5-6PM
Wednesday
Tot Time at Learning Sprout Toys Weekly fun at this Tacoma toy store for the 2-4 set. You can double check on their fb page, before you head out. Juice and cookies provided.
Source Yoga in North Tacoma begins a new series for parents and children 1-5 Canceled due to lack of enrollment. If you were interested, maybe let them know for the future.
Wacky Wednesdays at the South Hill Library from 2-4 Drop in activities for kids 6 and up; it’s Lego today.
Lego Builders Club in Lakewood 3-4 Drop in and do some Lego!
Holiday Food and Gift Show begins in Tacoma Kids 12 and under are free; variety of vendors, live entertainment, and yes……the kids can get a picture with Santa. Runs next 5 days

Juice and Jammies Story Time at the Olympia Barnes and Noble 7PM Three stories and a little juice. Every Wednesday
Thursday
Creation Station at Learning Sprout Toys in Tacoma Call or check their fb page to confirm
Family Fun Day for Little Kids at Southcenter Mall 10AM 2nd level, near New Hope Church Halloween themed stories and make and take crafts
Critter Club at the Pt.Defiance Zoo Animal themed crafts, stories, and special visitors for 3 and 4 year olds. 8.00 members/ 10.00 non members. Fee does not include zoo admission. Preregister to hold your spot. 11AM Also on Friday Creatures of the Night theme this week
Lego Madness in Orting 3:30 Drop in to the library for one of their “Totally Awesome Thursdays,” for school age kids
Tea and Tour at the Harbor History Museum Tour the Shenandoah today 2
Read with a Dog at the Puyallup Public Library 3:30 Kids can drop in and practice their reading skills with a patient canine listener.
Chess Club is back at the Gig Harbor Library Kids in kindergarten and up are invited to drop in each week for 20 minutes of instruction and 40 minutes of game play 6-7 PM
It’s a third Thursday in Tacoma. Enjoy extended hours and free admission at galleries and major museums downtown as part of ArtWalk. Now includes the LeMay!
Friday
Nature Alphabet At the Tacoma Nature Center 10:30 Nature themed stories and fun for preschoolers 3-6. Registration and fees required.U is for underground today.
Read with a dog at the Puyallup Public Library Kids can drop in and practice their reading with a patient, canine listener 3:30
Harvest Festival at the Center at Norpoint Activities from 5-7; movie 7-9 Event rotates around Tacoma community centers this month
Parents’ Night Out at the Children’s Museum in Tacoma Registration and fees required. See this post for more South Sound kids’ night out options.
