This morning, I wrote about how Puyallup library users can pay off their overdue fines with donations for the food bank. Here’s another great way to help others and save on family fun.
It’s the annual food bank night at the Valley Six Drive-in in Auburn! Whoo-hoo!
It’s Tonight-Wednesday. Note: I apologize for any confusion earlier when I said tomorrow. Today is Wednesday. I knew that. I think… Here’s the rest of the scoop:
- Bring 2 cans of food and get $3 off 1 adult ticket
- Bring 6 cans of food and get 1 carload of people for just $6
- Bring 12 or more cans of food and get 1 carload of people FREE!
If you’ve never been to the drive-in, you’ll want to read this great post on an outing to Valley Six from CoreyAnn of Adventure Bee. It’s got everything you need to know to make this a great end of the summer outing. If you’ve done food bank night before and you have any other tips, do feel free to leave ’em.
Btw, if you don’t haveĀ a lot of extras in your pantry right now, the Top Foods ad has a coupon for Haggen Mac and Cheese atĀ 10 for 5.00, and it’s always a popular food bank item. Jen from ThriftyNWMom has some other good deals for you on protein rich items that make great donations. Btw, if you’ve found me via ThriftyNWMom, welcome! I write just about family adventures in the South Sound, and I’d love for you to make this site a regular stop.
Thanks for my friend Traci for the tip on food bank night! If you’ve got a great tip, send it in!
