It must be summer, because all of the sudden I’ve got almost too much to tell you about! First up, today-Auburn Kids’ Day-which is tomorrow.
It’s FREE, and full of kid ‘centric fun like bouncy houses, face painting, fire trucks to climb in, and more! You’ll want to bring some money to buy food, and for a few charged activities like the pony rides, but there really is plenty to do without pulling out your wallet.Plus, this year it’s at Les Gove Park, so you can always do the playground or the sprayground, or check out the excellent White River Valley Museum, which will be open and free.
Now, as you might expect, this is a popular event. The boys and I went one year, and I think we stood in line 30 minutes for 5 minutes of bouncing. Yeah….it was a little insane.
It’s open from 11AM-4, so my suggestion is to get there early. Do the popular stuff, and then enjoy the free entertainment, the museum, and the playground. Otherwise, do be prepared for a kidapalooza. Btw, just a few streets over from all this madness, there is a little neighborhood park called Terminal Park It’s only an acre, and it’s nowhere near exciting, But it has a brand new play structure I never see anyone on, and it’s on a quiet street. Soooo if you think you may need an emergency escape hatch, plug that in your fancy phone.
Do you do Auburn Kids Day? Let us know if you think it’s crazy fun or just plain crazy!
I have a Bunch of posts planned for today, so while I don’t want you to spend the whole day on the ‘puter, do promise you’ll check back!
