I’m super excited to announce the first ever Sounds Fun Mom reader event. Whoo-hoo!
I’ve teamed up with the amazingly talented folks at theater and storytelling group Live Paint to bring you an exclusive afternoon with special entertainment for your little ones, decadent desserts, awesome door prizes, and, of course, the opportunity to meet other Sounds Fun Mom readers.
It’s Saturday, June 30th, from 4-5:30 PM at the Live Paint studio on the hill in Tacoma.
If you went to one of Live Paint’s recent Living Social performances, or saw them at a Tacoma Library event, you know what a treat you’re in for. Story teller Cindy transforms the space into a magical, enchanted forest, and she does a special show designed just for kids 3-8 that is part theater and part interactive story. Henry was absolutely mesmerized when we went.
In addition to the show, kids will enjoy a special craft sponsored by our friends at Ben Franklin Crafts in Bonney Lake. Everyone will feast on gourmet desserts provided by SFM fav, Jubilee Cupcakes, and parents will go home with some fun swag bags and, if you’re lucky, one of the amazing door prizes.
We do have a limited number of tickets to this event, so don’t wait long to get yours.
In keeping with the frugal fun we like to promote around here, they’re a total bargain-just 2.00 for your kiddos, and 5.00 for you! That’s less than half the price of the Living Social event, which was already a bargain! Try finding an afternoon of live theater and goodies for that, will ‘ya? Just head here to get yours and mark the date on your calendar.
I can’t wait to see you there!
PS I know this won’t be the perfect event for all of my readers, and I promise we’ll do others in the future….as long as you help make this one a great success! So, round up your princesses in training, call your most enchanting pals, and head on over here to buy your tickets for what I think is going to be a perfectly magical afternoon.
PSS Yes, we do have very limited opportunities left for local companies who would like to get a donation in our swag bags. Send an email to soundsfunmom@hotmail.com for more information.
This sounds amazing! I just bought my son and I a ticket. Are children encouraged to dress up a certain way for this event?
Hi, Heather!
I’m so excited! Kids are welcome, though definitely not required, to come in costume.
Cindy’s show is a little different every time, but any kind of magical costume would be fine-princes, wizards, dragon slayers….
The only thing we ask is that you not bring any swords or other, “Weapons.”
I also got me tickets. Have never been to one of these so does my daughter need to dress up in any way??
It’s totally up to her, Marybell! If she’d like to wear a costume-fairy wings, princess-y or magical looking garb-it’s totally welcome. If she doesn’t want to, that’s just fine, too!
I wish we weren’t going to be out of town then, I’d love to attend with my son! Next time!
