Water Weekends with HCC Mast at Redondo Every Saturday visit the center for free and get up close with sea critters in their touch tanks
It’s a second Saturday, which means every library in the Pierce County Library System has special activities today. Highlights include kite making in Key Center; kids’ gardening club at Summit; building events in UP and Lakewood (these two require registration). Use the link for the full list of options.
Family Nature Walks with Metro Parks It’s Wapato Park today. Free,guided walks with a naturalist. Recommended for ages 3 and up; not suitable for strollers.
Earth Day Weekend at the Pt.Defiance Zoo Special activities included with admission. The zoo is pricey. SFM recommends investing in an annual pass unless you can take advantage of monthly free days for city residents.
Spring Fairy Festival in Auburn at Green River Community College A celebration of all things fairy, with a costume parade, kids’ crafts, entertainment and vendors Tickets are 5.00 for kids; 15.00 for adults
Springamajig in Tacoma Free community event with petting zoo, entertainment, and more. It’s at the Portland Avenue Center this weekend. It will be at the Center at Norpoint next week.
