Winter Farmer’s Market in Proctor farm fresh goodies; there will be a Valentine’s making booth for the kids.
Valentines Day at the Point Defiance Zoo Special Valentines themed activities at the Pt.Defiance Zoo. Included with admission. Admission does get steep; consider investing in an annual pass if you’d go even a couple of times. Tacoma residents can also take advantage of monthly free days.
Tow Mater at the Corvette High Performance Show at the Puyallup fairgrounds. Event entrance is 10.00; kids 12 and under are free. A photo op with TM is a 10.00 donation to the Puyallup food bank. You can read more detail in my post here. Don’t go when it opens, or you’ll be in a line of car enthusiasts headed to swap parts.
Bula! New Year Celebration with the Asia Pacific Cultural Center 11AM-6PM in the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall Children’s activities, hula and more performances and entertainment representing Asian Pacific countries. Retail vendors on site.
Family Day at the Museum of Glass 1PM Theme is Mi Amore Special activities for the family lead by professional artists. I *think* you can still use library passes to the MOG on Family Days. Otherwise, regular admission is 8-12.00
Pierce County Library Systems 2nd Saturdays Every 2nd Saturday every library in the PCL system offers free, family activities. Use the link to go to the calendar and find what’s happening at one near you! I see lots of Valentines activities. There are two activities that require registration: The Geek Dad event in Lakewood for kids 8-14. The craft is a pop up book. The activities are inspired by the, “Geeky fun,” website, Geek Dad. Fetch Club in Graham also requires registration. The rest of the events are drop-in.
Water Weekends with HCC Mast at Redondo Every Saturday visit the center for free and get up close with sea critters in their touch tanks.
Nature Walks with Metro Parks and Tahoma Audubon Today’s is at Wapato Hills Park from 10-11 Not recommended for children under 3 or strollers; free
Visit the LOTT Wet science center in Olympia
Make it, Take it event at Michael’s 1-3 For kids 3 and up; decorate letters or a frame. Free with supply purchase.
Galumpha at the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts Combination circus/acrobatic show. Suitable for the whole family. Tickets are on the spendy side-15.00-30.00
If you haven’t already done so, make sure you’ve picked up tickets if your little girls are wanting to attend a daddy/daughter dance. Many of these are sold out already, but you may have luck in a neighboring town.
