Updated March 2017
I wanted to let you know about two more gymnastics spots with open play time.
The first is Black Hills Gymnastics in Lacey. You can head there for open play with kids 5 and under on Friday mornings from 11-12:30. The cost is 7.00 a child, and you will need to stay with your kiddo. Or, if you have school age kiddos, and you could use some alone time, they also offer a date night on Saturdays. The cost for that is 15.00, and it’s for children ages 6-17 from 7-10PM.
At the other end of my territory or slightly north of it….is The Jungle Gym in Burien. This spot offers drop in playtime Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday and Thursdays 11:00-1:00 and 3:00 to 5:00, and Saturday/Sunday at 12-1. It’s 10.00/hour or 16/2 hours per child, or 6.00/1 hour, 12/2hours for members. The Jungle Gym also offers kids night out events for children 3-12 every 2nd and last Friday from 6-9PM. These do require reservations, and the cost is 30.00 (nonmembers)/ 25.00(members) per kiddo. The next one is scheduled for February 24th.
I’ll be adding both of these to my indoor playground list. For still more options, you can also check the rainy day play link in the menu bar, where you’ll find my posts on play places as well as bounce houses and mall play areas. *****Disclaimer alert: I do want you to know that I haven’t been to either of the places I’ve mentioned in this post, but I did speak to staff there this morning to get you current information. If you have a review about any of the places in my guides, or if you learn of changes to hours and rates, do drop me a line!
Also in Burien is the Burien Community Center Tot Spot on Tuesdays 10-12 and Saturday 9:30-11. $2 per kid, no reservations needed. Crawlers through approx age 5. The space right now gets really crowded on Tuesdays, but the Saturday is a new time and so isn’t as popular. I’d have told you about it earlier, but I thought Burien might be a little too North for you. Also SeaTac community center has a Toddler play time in their gym on M/W/F 10-12 for $2, and Tukwlia Community center does it on Tu/Th. I’ve done SeaTac (it’s OK, but nice and roomy) but haven’t gotten to Tukwila yet.
Thanks, Kim! I’ll add that to the list!
