If you’re planning on hitting Zoolights at the Point Defiance Zoo this year, you might want to consider scheduling your visit around Scuba Santa.
Yes, this year you can watch Santa swimming with the sharks in the South Pacific Aquarium (don’t worry-they’re all on the nice list). You can catch scuba Santa on Wednesday at 6:30 or Sunday, December 18th at 2:30. Zoolights admission is 7.00 online or through Fred Meyer. At the gate, it’s 8.25 (members pay half). You can also purchase a 15.50 value pass that will get you daytime admission to the zoo as well as your evening at Zoolights. Kids are a few bucks less.
If the whole thing seems way too pricey, consider doing Fantasy Lights. You can take a whole carload for 10.00 with the coupon at the site.
If you prefer diy fun, over at the Facebook page last weekend we came up with a great list of neighborhoods you can check out for free! I’ll try to add that here later.
A zoo membership is also worth considering as a holiday gift, especially if you get a check from the grandparents, and your kiddos really don’t need one more gizmo or whatchamacallit. They’re about a hundred bucks for the year, and they’ll pay for themselves in just a couple of visits.
