I got a nice note from reader Joleen, asking me if I’d heard about the new indoor playground in Auburn. I actually do have this one in my indoor playground list, but I didn’t know there was a rock climbing wall.
Here’s the rest of her insider scoop:
(The new gym) has open gym, birthday party rentals (cheap), a rock climbing wall, and my favorite, the indoor playground.
The entire gym is open to little ones 5 and under with all sorts of toys, blocks, bounce house, bikes, and activities and there is kid friendly music playing. Also, I get emails from Auburn Parks and Rec, and this week Santa will be visiting the indoor playground, and pictures are available for just 1.00
Want to check it out for yourself? Here’s the hours and the info. on those bargain Santa photos straight from her email. Thanks again, Joleen! Love it!

In other indoor play news, I’m really excited to tell you about the new program in Sumner from Roach Gymnastics. Beginning January 7th, they’ll be offering an open gym program just for children on the autism spectrum. (link will open a pdf of their brochure-scroll to the bottom of the page). Kids and their parents or caregivers will have the run of the 11,000 square foot facility where there will be plenty to explore in a safe and fun environment. There is a cost, but I think it’s quite reasonable.
If these aren’t near you, you can check out indoor playgrounds from Kent to Lacey to Port Orchard, and pretty much everywhere in between, here at the Sounds Fun Mom indoor playground list. You can find it anytime, in the menu bar under Rainy Day Play. I also have a list of mall play areas there. I Loooove reader tips and reviews, so if you’ve got one, please don’t be shy about sharing!
