Lowes Build and Grow Register in advance for this popular, free program It’s a science lab!
It’s a Second Saturday, which means Family Friendly Events at every library in the Pierce County Library System. Just click the link to find one near you. I don’t list them individually due to space issues, but I see instrument making in Gig Harbor, muppets in Milton and Sumner, puppets in Tillicum, instruments, in Orting and more!
Career Day at the Point Defiance Zoo Free event for tweens and teens. Check in at the window. Kids 16 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Free admission; weekend tournament features the Tacoma Titans against other regional teams. Action packed and sure to inspire.
National Game Day at the Tacoma Public Library 2-5 Bring your Pokemon cards or enjoy a board game
It’s Neighborhood Toy Store Day Both locations of Teaching Toys and Books in Tacoma and Gig Harbor will have raffles and activities. There are free activities at Creative Mom Toys in Renton; Wind Up Here in Olympia is also participating. You can also use the link to find many participating Seattle area stores. HC MAST water weekends at Redondo-The center is open every Saturday from 10-2. Kids can touch sea critter in the tanks and learn about other aquatic animals. Free Redond0
The Proctor Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday through December 17th Soup fundraiser this weekend; 3.00 a bowl
Community Art Day at Tacoma Art Place 10AM-6PM Flyer promises workshops, demos, and family fun.
Prairie Line Trail Public Art Tour Temporary art has been installed from downtown Tacoma to the waterfront (think big, weird sculptures-thats a very non-artsy explanation). Take a walking tour and hear the artists explain them. I think this would be fun to do with older kids.
National Gaming Day at the Puyallup Library 2-4PM All ages event with a variety of games available
Read with a Doggie Friend at the Puyallup Library Drop in between 2-4 to practice your reading skills with a patient canine pal. It’s Clover today.
2.00 Family Movies at the Galaxy Theater in Gig Harbor A partnership between the theater and Police Department benevolence programs. Money goes towards the holiday helper program. Today’s show is Despicable Me Doors open at 9:30; show at 10:00.
