Ever forgotten your own birthday?
I just did. Well, sort of.
September 9th marked one year since I launched Sounds Fun Mom! Call it a blogaversary if you want.
I began this site because after six years as a stay at home mom to two boys who are way too crazy to sit at home with, I had gotten really good at finding events and activities right around here, and I was just itching to share them.
I also knew that there wasn’t a site dedicated just to South Sound fun because, believe me, I’d tried to find it!
What I didn’t know was a whole lot about blogging, and I could probably write a book of things I’ve goofed up. Really, though, who would want to read that??? Let’s just say, it’s been an adventure.
I’m so tickled that you have joined me on it, and I want you to know that I truly do appreciate each and every one of my readers, as well as the incredibly supportive bloggers who have given me a helping hand.
What’s ahead? In the coming months, I’ll unveil a fancy pants new look for this little space (with the help of someone who actually knows how to do stuff like that), and I hope to have my long promised birthday party guide and kids eat free list.
If you’d like to have some influence in the future Sounds Fun Mom, you’re invited to do this survey. It’s one I first did months (and a few hundred readers) ago. It’s about 5 minutes long and gives you the chance to have your say about your favorite-or not- features here at SFM. If you’ve already done it, but you’ve thought of a few more suggestions, go ahead and do it again!
I do hope you’ll continue to spread the word about the fun we have here, to your fun loving pals, as well as the family friendly businesses you frequent. Advertising here gets you a personal connection to loyal, local readers, and helps me be keep bringing you the good stuff.
