Wondering what to do with kids around the South Puget Sound this weekend? Here’s your big list!
If you’re headed north or south, you’ll want to check out the list over at ThriftyNWmom compiled by super bargain sleuth Sia of Centsible in Seattle. If you are a military family, you’ll want to read her scoop on free entry to the Woodland Park Zoo this weekend.
If you’d rather stick to family and kids’ events around the South Sound, I’ve got a whole list of them right here. There’s a little something going on in Puyallup, but if you’ve got a little one who loves trains, trucks, and cars, you’re going to want to head to Sprinker!
Special deals to NW Trek 4.00 off general admission and other 40th anniversary specials. Note: If your kids did a library summer reading program, they may have gotten a free Trek coupon. Unfortunately, these can only be used with full priced adult tickets, so do the math to figure out what deal is best for your group. - Musical Storytellling for kids 3-5 11AM in Sumner Event in conjunction with Seattle Symphony’s Soundbridge program Free tickets available day of the event
- Duct Tape creations Get crafty with Duct tape in Milton/Edgewood Check the library calendar for the full list. Sadly, the Fetch party is full; I’ll try to catch that earlier next time.
Browns Point Community Celebration 12-4 Free community event;keeper’s quarters tours; costumed actors and entertainment. Bring a picnic or enjoy a hotdog lunch for 1.00. I’m going to call and find out where you should park, as there are literally six spaces at the park itself. I think they must be opening the improvement club lot next door…..
Open trails at the Morse Wildlife preserve in Graham Special opportunity to explore this unique habitat. Best way to get directions is to call: 253-591-6439 This is an Audubon program. Just let them know you want directions to the preserve.
Triumph of the American Spirit Free concert in Auburn; tribute to first responders on the 10th anniversary of 9/11/01. Free, but you need to pick up tickets in advance-limit of 6 per family.
