It’s back to school time for many big kids this week. If you haven’t figured that out yet, you can use the Kindergarten registration links in the menu up above. Many schools have special welcome events, so do check with yours.
It’s also a great week to squeeze in last minute summer fun, or just enjoy the days with your preschoolers. If you’re new here, this is the very nicest time of year!

Tours of Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftan in Gig Harbor Check out the tall ships! Public tours from 12-4 3.00 per person donation suggested. Public sailings also available-pricey but fun. Reservations highly suggested. The ships move to Olympia at the end of the week.
Special sessions at Jump! in Gig Harbor (link opens a pdf) Proceeds from all three drop-in sessions benefit local Dan Kinley who is walking in the 3 day walk to fight breast cancer.
