Today, I’m very pleased to take a minute to tell you about the upcoming Lise and Faith Memorial Run.
If you live near Puyallup, you may have known Lise Palmer, or heard her story.
Lise was a young mother of two, expecting a baby daughter she and her husband were planning to name Faith. She was out for a jog while on a family vacation to Chelan, when she was struck and killed by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel.
Her friends and family are organizing a run to benefit her young boys and honor her life and love of fitness. It’s at the Nathan Chapman trail, which is a truly beautiful spot to run-lots of shady spots and mostly flat. It’s a chip-timed run for those of you who are serious runners-and I know several of you are. I think this would be a Great run to do with your kiddos if you’d like to introduce them to the sport, and I can’t imagine a better cause.
There is a Free kids’ run for kids’ 13 and under. Grown-up runners can get 10.00 off the registration fee by entering code lisepalmer, or pay the full amount knowing it will be much appreciated. You can go here to register . You can also find more information on their Facebook page.
