Seymour Conservatory hosts a weekly summer story hour where children can enjoy a nature themed story in the middle of the lush beauty of the conservatory. Afterwards there is a craft with a bit of science thrown in. No registration is needed, and the super sweet Miss Bonnie assures me that any child who would enjoy the story and be able to sit through it is welcome (The Lorax is one of Henry’s all time favorites, but it is a longie)! Sessions are every Wednesday at 11AM. Tomorrow’s is Alison’s Zinnia, and the art project is making a flower design with your initial and the science part is about flower names. How cool is that??
You might also want to read my post about an outing to the conservatory and Wright Park. There is a good chance your kiddos will spot the refurbished playground and sprayground, so make a decision about that ahead of time.
