My friend Lisa emailed me to let me know about a great Summer movie deal for kids from Cinemark. Quite frankly, I’m pretty sure I read about this deal somewhere and dismissed it, because I didn’t think there was a Cinemark around here! Turns out, there are two-one in Federal Way and one in Olympia. Score! What’s the deal? Basically, there are ten different shows. You can buy tickets to all of them in advance for 5.00 (yep, that’s .50 a movie), or pay 1.00 at the door.
All movies are G or PG. Keep in mind, that they tend to be older ones and probably not the ones you’re dying to see.
Want more Summer movie deals? You’ll want to read my post about Regal’s Summer Movie deal, which also offers 1.00 kids’ movies. AMC used to have a similar program, but they have discontinued it, because of low attendance (somehow I don’t believe that).
You can also see movies for just 2.00 (or 1.00 on Tuesdays) at the Starplex in Federal Way all year round. The Blue Mouse in Tacoma has cheap flicks on Mondays, though they’re only rarely kids’ shows. The Grand in Tacoma has occasional free shows thanks to Click! I list these in my weekend lists, as well as occasional free movies at the Puyallup Parks and Rec Center.
You’ll also want to be on the lookout for free movies from your park’s department this Summer. Most all areas have regular movies in the park (I’ll list as many as I can).
Finally, if you have a child with sensory issues, you may want to try the sensory friendly nights at AMC. The sound is down, the lights are up, and kids are free to roam as they need.
Know another great place to catch a flick for cheap this Summer? Let me know! If you prefer to do your movie watching at home, you’ll want to make sure you’ve Liked the Facebook page. I’ll be giving away a couple of Redbox codes there later!
