Armed Forces Day Parade in Bremerton Free Come watch the nation’s biggest and longest running Armed Forces Day Parade.
HC MAST water weekends at Redondo-The center is open again every Saturday from 10-2. Kids can touch sea critter in the tanks and learn about other aquatic animals
Armed Forces Day at JBLM Open to the public, but do check to find out how to enter. Vehicle displays, carnival rides, reenactments, and more. Free admission; food and other items available for sale
Lacey Spring Fun Fair Free admission to kids’ world and other activities Vendors on site with food and other items for purchase
Bark in the Park in Orting Dog park fundraiser; Fun runs have fees but other activities are free. This is a new event. If you go, let me know what you thought!
Queen Victoria’s Birthday at Ft.Nisqually 11AM-5PM Visit with actors in period costume, tour the buildings, and maybe try your hand at some croquet. Admission is 6.00 for adults and 4.00 for kids-a maximum of 22.00 per family. Military discounts; free for kids under 4.
Bear Awareness Day at NW Trek Activities included with admission. Admission is pricey-there are bogo coupons in the Entertainment book, or consider a membership if you go frequently.
Grand Opening of the Scoop on the Poop exhibit at the Pt.Defiance Zoo Yes, the zoo is opening a new educational area dedicated to all things scat. Should be a hit with the kids! Special activities are free with admission (I always recommend setting aside room in the budget for an annual pass-it pays for itself in just a couple visits a year).
Auburn Petpalooza A day of fun for pet lovers and their 4 legged friends. 10AM-7PM at Game Farm Park
Robot Garage in Orting Event for kids in grades 2-9 with Museum of Flight staff at the Orting library Register
Movies at Main Drop in to the main branch of the Tacoma Public Library for a free showing of Megamind. 3PM.
