Tomorrow you can head to the history museum to see the past come alive-literally.
The event is called Ghosts of the Great Hall, and it begins at 6:30. Professional actors will be portraying important figures from Washington’s history as they lead guided tours and answer questions. It’s scheduled for a third Thursday, which means the whole event is free. I think this would be a particularly fun thing to do if you have a kid who is studying Washington State history right now. I would not take very small children who might interrupt the actors’ monologues. You can also tour the rest of the museum, including the excellent mummy exhibit.
We usually just park in the pay lot next to the museum. The charge is fairly reasonable. Street parking in downtown is free After 6:00. For more options for today and tomorrow, see my regular list of What Sounds Fun This Week, for all your weekday options.
