Tacoma Reads Together!

February 23, 2011 by Maegen Blue

Thanks to reader, Gramma E. for posting about the new selection for Tacoma Reads Together. It’s the Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba, and it’s the inspiring true story of an impoverished young African boy who made a windmill. It would be a great read with your older kids or together as a family-even if you don’t live in Tacoma! You can get copies at any Tacoma Public Library, or it’s easily found at your favorite bookseller. The libraries will also have an appearance by the author and family friendly activities. I’ll post about these as they come up.
