Lynette, from our local PBS station, asked me to remind you about a great opportunity for your budding authors.
If you have a child in Kindergarten-3rd grade, she has until the end of March to create a masterpiece for the annual PBS Kids Go! Young Writers’ Contest. This Saturday, kids and their grownups can also attend a free workshop designed to teach them how to use their art to tell a story. You are asked to register, so don’t wait long to let them know if you’re coming! While you’re there, check out the other resources for parents, like free workshops for your group and free parenting videos.
Got a big kid? The Pierce County Library System runs its annual teen writing contest through March 4th, and there are cash prizes!
