Get those tiaras ready! If you’ve got an aspiring princess at your house, you’ll be excited to hear that your little one can rub elbows with real royalty this weekend at every branch of the Pierce County Library. Who’s coming to town? It’s the Daffodil Princesses, and these girls are really a cut above Cinderella in my book. They’re not sitting around waiting for Prince Charming-these girls are school leaders, top students, and active volunteers in their community. I’m guessing your little girls will also be wowed by their princess regalia. It’s a free event, and after doing some royal reading, your little ones will have the chance to get autographs and take photos. Many thanks to reader Tristin for sending in this great tip, and to SFM friend Codi of Stroller Strides for sending the pdf of the flyer. Also, a quick note that this is an older proof, and it says Saturday the 18th. Saturday is the 19th, of course (thanks to my pal Lisa for pointing this out). I’m just way too tired to fix the image right now, so just let me assure you that this event is Saturday-not the 18th.
Here’s the full schedule:
11:00 AM-Gig Harbor, Bonney Lake, Tillicum, Downtown Puyallup, University Place (at the new location), Parkland, Sumner, South Hill, and Graham
2:00 PM-Key Center, Dupont, Summit, Edgewood/Milton (new library in the Surprise Lake shopping center), Steilacoom, Buckley, Lakewood, Orting, Eatonville
If you can’t fit this in this weekend, there are other upcoming Daffodil Princess events, including a very special tea in Sumner.
Is it Friday the 18th or Saturday the 19th?
” They’re not sitting around waiting for Prince Charming” — I love it, and I am stealing it! 🙂 Thank you for your support. These events will be very fun and rewarding for all of the kids (and parents) involved.
Thanks, Steve! I know my readers will be excited to know about this event, and I think we can all be proud of our princesses!
It’s Saturday.
Adding that now!
This is such a cute idea! Thanks for sharing.
