Need something to do today? Check What Sounds Fun This Week! Know a great preschool? Scroll one down to hear how you can get some free publicity! Today I want to highlight an event coming up next week that I don’t want you to miss!
It’s the annual Star Party at the Puyallup Public Library, a special event coordinated with the folks from the Tacoma Astronomical Society.
Kids get to build their own stomp rockets (they really work) and do some stargazing, weather permitting. There is also hot cocoa. This is an all ages event, and no registration is required. I think it’s best for grade schoolers who can follow instructions. The last time we went I was wishing I’d left Henry at home because I spent the whole time fishing him out of the cocoa set up. The Tacoma Astronomical Society hosts free public viewing events at various times during the year. I include these in my weekend lists when they come up.
Speaking of which, I hope you’ll check back later today for a whole raft of weekend fun! You might also want to “Like,” the Sounds Fun Mom Facebook page. I’ll be hosting a little giveaway over there later today.
New here? I write about affordable family events just for the South Sound-no need to drive to Seattle or drain the bank. There is lots to explore in my menu bar and archives, whether you’re looking for indoor or outdoor fun. I hope you’ll make this site a regular stop!
