It’s a big weekend for fans of puppets, princesses and more! Please note that this is the Last weekend for sleigh rides at the Old Cannery, Santa train rides at Camp Six, and most area Nutcracker performances. Zoolights and Fantasy Lights both continue until the New Year.

10AM Lowes Build and Grow Clinic Last of three part train making event. Children are welcome to attend even if they missed the first two. Register ASAP! I’ve heard these have been great, but they’ve also been filling fast.
10AM Michael’s Make it Take it Button Ring Free with button purchase. This doesn’t say whether it’s a kid friendly event, but I think you could take an older child who enjoys crafting. Michael’s is also demonstrating kids’ craft and activity kits at 1.

Gingerbread House making at the Gig Harbor library 10:30 or 1:30 Decorate a gingerbread house without messing up your kitchen. For ages 5 and up. Requires registration.
1:00 Party with Belle and other princesses at the South Hill Mall. 10.00 This event requires registration and had 4 spots left as of this morning.

Animal Enrichment at the Pt.Defiance Zoo-Through the rest of the month, visitors to the zoo can get half off admission with a food donation. Special animal enrichment activities will also be going on daily. Please note that the half off offer does not apply to Zoolights. If you’re interested in Winter Break camps at the zoo, these are filling fast.

Zoolights at Pt.Defiance Half off for members; otherwise it’s 7.88 or save a buck by purchasing in advance at Bartell drugs. Kids under 2 are free. There is also a value deal that will get you a Zoolights admission and half off a general admission to come another time.
