Looking for scoop on this year’s sale at MegaBrands or Mega Bloks in Fife? This is an old post (with some good tips), but there is a new sale coming right up.
Get all the scoop on it right here!
More good news? You can follow this blog via Facebook, reader, or email, and you’ll always have the latest scoop! I write about affordable activities for kids and families in the South Puget Sound, and I update every, single day! Read on for my original post with all you need to know to shop this toy sale in Fife.
My friend Lisa got all the loot above and much more for twenty bucks! Here are her best shopping tips:
It’s TOTALLY worth it. I go probably once a year, even though they do it more often than that. It’s crazy insane when you go, but yes, very worth it. I guess it depends what you’re going for – I’ve never gone with something specific in mind so I like to browse a bit. 2 things – don’t take your kids cause you’ll go nuts and they’ll get lost and second, take a large ikea bag or plan on dragging a cardboard box around.
FYI – A lot of things I buy there end up being birthday presents I stock away. Or also fun games that I get out on a random Sunday afternoon when my kids are losing their minds.
Remember: The sale is cash only. The last couple of times, there has been an ATM on site, but it’s the kind with high fees. I also think Lisa’s advice to leave your kids home is key. I know this is hard for some of you, but consider pairing up with a friend. She can watch your kids one day, and you can watch hers the next. You could even pool your money and divide up your haul!
Update One: I’ve hit this sale a couple times since I originally did this post, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find shopping carts and no crowds whatsoever. As far as my haul, for me, it’s been a little less exciting each time, mainly because as my boys are getting older their wish lists are getting more specific. If you have little ones, there is definitely a lot of good Mega Bloks stuff. I’ve mainly gotten school and art supplies, which are always great to have on hand.
Update Two: I do also want to warn you that there is ongoing construction on this street, and it is right after a light with a traffic camera that is No Joke. Do NOT do a rolling stop or creep into the intersection, or you will get nailed with a ticket that will definitely cancel out your savings. Yes, I speak from experience.
Thanks bunches for your thoughts, Lisa! I owe you a carpool….or paintbrush cleaning. Read what more readers thought in the comments below.
P.S. Reader Kristin suggested I remind you to dress warmly. You’re in a warehouse, and it is chilly!
