It’s Wednesday, so why don’t you….
Make a feast for our feathered friends. There are lots of different bird feeder “recipes.”
It’s a good time of year to start talking about gratitude.
Consider collecting or shopping for new pencils for the pencil project. You will need to contact someone at the organization before you send them, but there is no reason you can’t start a collection now. What a great idea for a mom’s group or Scout group. Just imagine that there are kids who don’t have One. Single. Pencil. Amazing!
Locally, many schools are collecting for food banks, and of course, you can take donations right to them. The #1 thing most food banks need is peanut butter. Why? It’s high in protein, it’s portable, and it doesn’t require a stove.
For my Puyallup friends, consider taking up a collection of new, warm socks for St.Francis House.
Wednesday is Free day at the White River Valley Museum in Auburn.
Two words: Pinecone turkey
If none of those ideas strike your fancy, why not take a few minutes to explore the site?
I’ll also be back in just a bit with a post about hiking with kids in case you want to take advantage of tomorrow’s free admission to National Parks and other federal lands. You did read my Veterans Day post, right?
