If you’re just getting here today, I have a whole bunch of fun suggestions one post down. If none of those appeal, it’s Wednesday, so why don’t you…..
Make a different version of the usual roasted pumpkin seeds.
Here’s a recipe for a cinammon sweet seeds.
Make an apple tree with popcorn blossoms. Remember: I am not crafty! If you see a craft on here, you can do it in ten minutes. This one paints the tree first, but I’d use crayons and construction paper-or just crayons.
For a little old-school fun, stop by Albertsons or Top Foods and get a coloring contest sheet for your kids. If you know of other stores hosting a contest, let me know. These are just two I’ve picked up personally.
Make a gravestone rubbing These are surprisingly cool looking and not hard to do. Do make sure it’s o.k. first. If you find this creepy/disturbing/offensive, you can apply the same principles to make cool rubbings of other interesting textures. Coins, leaves, and tree stumps are all good candidates-although for these I like to use thicker paper and crayons.
Head to your favorite park and take some snaps of the kids. Playgrounds are so much less crowded now, and fall gives you the best lighting and backdrops.
Leave me a comment here or at the Facebook page if your school, church, Cub Scout group etc. is hosting a great Halloween event this weekend. I’m working on your list now, and…Phew!…I could use a hand!
Have a great one!
