There are two special events at The Tacoma Nature Center this weekend, and because reservations are requested, I’m going to tell you about them now.
The first is Creatures of the Night October 22nd from 5-7 PM. It’s designed for younger preschoolers and their parents or grandparents. Five dollars covers one child and two adults; each additional child or adult is another two dollars. Activities include a short hike, crafts, and a snack.
If your boo crew is just a bit older, consider attending Who Goes Bump in the Night on the 23rd instead. This event is for ages 5 and up and costs 2.50 per person. The schedule includes a hike and crafts and visits from nocturnal zoo animals (presumably with attendants along).
Now, I think you could probably get away with just showing up, but as reservations are requested, I’d go ahead and call as soon as you decide you’re in. We’ve always enjoyed nature center programs, and I bet your kids will love the idea of staying up just a little late.
