This is a, “Stop the Presses!” kind of post.
I just posted a big list of fun ideas for your day (do scroll down and read them), but I had to come back and post a couple quick updates about special events at area libraries.
First, the Ruff Ruffman science club for 3-5th grade kids is starting up at the Parkland/Spanaway library this afternoon. It’s based around the popular Ruff Ruffman show on PBS and each session will have different, hands-on activities. Pre-registration is required, but as of this posting there are lots of spots open. This would be a great one to forward to homeschoolers you know, or anyone with a science loving 3rd-5th grader.
Tomorrow is Read for the Record. The goal is to have a record number of kids and their grownups reading the Ezra Jack Keats classic, The Snowy Day. You can participate at home or by going to a reading. What a fun idea!
Don’t forget that all area libraries have started up Fall storytimes. There is something for every age, including the bilingual events I mentioned yesterday. My original storytime post has links to all area libraries.
