Welcome to the Sounds Fun Mom South Sound Summer Camp Guide!
This list, by no means, includes every camp in the South Sound. I’ve included those I know something about and those who have provided information to me. I have also tried to include a variety of interests and regions, but if you know a great one I missed, or need a hand finding something else, give me a holler! Don’t forget to check your Parks Department for many, many more options. I have additional resources at the bottom, too.

Love and Laughter Puyallup Day Camp
Camps for Young Children
Super fun camps designed just for children 2-6. Themes include everything from Arctic Exploration to Dr.Seuss! Daily activities include lots of hands-on play. Potty training is not required, camper to staff ratio is a super low 1:7, and a snack is included! Spots do fill fast!
Sports Camps
Grand Slam! Baseball Camps Convenient locations around the South Sound. A quality camp, taught by experienced players who Love the game. Plenty of camp fun and positive role modeling combined with excellent instruction. Several options available for both baseball and softball players.
Pierce College Summer Sports Camps Basketball camp for boys and girls ages 6-13 and volleyball camp for girls 10-18 Instruction by Pierce College coaches and players. Positive atmosphere with expert instruction in top notch facilities. Registration includes shirt and a ball. A great value for a full day camp; ask about multi-child discounts!

Art Camps
Fred Oldfield Center Puyallup Camps for preschoolers-12th grade. Each session is taught by a professional artist and offers tons of hands-on, fun. Native American camp the first week, followed by different camps every week!
Tacoma Art Museum (9 and up)
Several of the camps at TCM and HOCM are also art themed.

White River Valley Museum Junior Curator Camp and Living History Camp
Specialty Camps/Camps for Builders/Camps for Gifted Kids
Jump! offers a special week long camp for kids 6-12 with Bricks 4 Kidz. Lego builds designed around the popular Mine Craft theme And plenty of time to bounce around on Jumps awesome inflatables. Camp runs July 15th-19th and spots are going fast (Drop ins not offered during this special week)!
Bricks 4 Kidz offer a variety of awesome Lego camps at locations in South Tacoma, University Place, Fircrest, and Gig Harbor Kids have plenty of build time and learn math and science concepts as well. Awesome themes include Mine Craft, Robotics, and Ninjago. Great bogo special running through the end of May for new registrants.
Lighthouse Christian School in Gig Harbor offers sports, arts, and school readiness camps for school age kids at their Gig Harbor campus. Fun, active camps taught by Lighthouse staff with a Christian world view
Sticharoo Sewing School Gig Harbor Sewing day camps; opportunities for Scouts, parties and home schoolers also available
Seabury School variety of unique, week long programs for kids in elementary and middle school at this school for gifted children. Enrollment open to all.
