Tell your kids to go climb a tree! At Wright Park kids can climb a 55-year-old giant sequoia or help with a tree planting project. Details below.
Join us from 10 am-1 pm for Restoration, Education, and Family Fun!
Children 5 and older, with parental permission, will be helmeted, harnessed and hoisted into the upper reaches of Wright Park’s outstanding 55-year-old giant sequoia. Then, while tethered to a professional arborist, they’ll have the opportunity to move through the treetop, one branch at a time.
Also in Wright Park, Metro Parks urban forester Mark McDonough will give children a chance to plant a few trees while he provides pointers on proper planting techniques.
