I am a member of MomSelect and received complimentary products in order to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration. All the opinions are my own.
We love all things Disney around here, so I was excited to have the opportunity to host a party to show off our #DisneySide. The loot came in a very slick American Tourister bag (the official luggage of Walt Disney World). It arrived while the oldest was on a sleepover, so Henry promptly claimed it and started packing. We don’t have a trip planned yet, but I like the way he thinks!
Our oldest recently had a birthday, and the boys hadn’t seen their cousins in ages, so we decided to make our party a family brunch with a classic Mickey theme.
Now, I’ll be honest-inviting people over to our house means a Marathon cleaning session. Our house + the hour before a party definitely does Not equal the happiest place on Earth! Once that was all done, though, we got down to the fun stuff. I kept the decor simple, using goodies we received in our party box, plus a few things I bought in coordinating colors. I’m a little in love with the polka dot balloons.
Food was also easy-goodies from the deli, plus muffins I made with Craisins (another fun find from the box), and deli meats and cheeses I cut with a Mickey shaped cookie cutter. The kids enjoyed playing Disney bingo, watching the vacation planning DVD, and decorating Hanes t-shirts. Henry is wearing his above. It is one crazy, hot mess, but he loves it!
We also laughed ourselves silly with our , “Photo booth.” You’ll notice I borrowed Henry’s new bag to hold our props! Do you recognize the Mickey cut out frame? It’s a re-purposed pizza box. My #DisneySide is fun And thrifty. I honestly can’t explain what was so funny about this-I think there is just something about the Ears. I used some free photo editing tools to make our shots look like they came from a real photo booth, and we were given some HP photo card packs, so I was able to print them on the spot for our guests to take home. So cool!
Mostly, we just talked and laughed and created memories-which is really what our #DisneySide is all about. If you’re planning a party around any Disney character or theme, be sure to check out DisneySideCelebrations.com for all kinds of recipes, activities, and more.
