StoryTime at Southcenter/Tukwila Barnes and Noble 11AM Every Saturday in the children’s section

Water Weekends at HCC Mast at Redondo Every Saturday you can get up close with critters in the touch tanks and learn about sea life from 10-2 Here’s their Facebook page  Today is a special live dive day with an octopus release at 11am

Puyallup/Sumner/Greater Pierce County

It’s a 2nd Saturday, which means free, family friendly activities at Pierce County Library branches. Best bets this weekend look like a puppet show in Tillicum and a Geek Dad event in Lakewood. You can see all the choices here.

Lego! my Library at the Puyallup Public Library 11AM Build creations inspired by stories. New club. No registration required; for kids 3-8

International Games Day at the Puyallup Public Library 2PM free, all ages drop in event, with video games and traditional board games to play.

Read with a Dog at the Puyallup Public Library Kids can drop in and practice their reading skills with Clover, the dalmatian. 2-3


Career Day for kids in 6th grade and up at the Point Defiance Zoo Free event with free admission for participants. Kids under 16 do need to be with a paying adult.

Celebrate Neighborhood Toy Store Day at Teaching Toys and Books

 Wheelchair Basketball Tournament Cheer on the Tacoma titans as they compete against other Northwest wheelchair basketball teams. Free admission; donations accepted. Games also on Sunday

Pier Peer at the Foss Waterway Seaport Special night time event. See critters attracted to the dock lights and enjoy hot cocoa afterwards. **Registration is required (lots of spots open), and participants must be 8 and up.

Celebrate Neighborhood Toy Store Day at Teaching Toys and Books

Fall movies at Galaxy Uptown  2.00 shows benefit the Jaycox benevolence fund. It’s today. Doors open at 9:30; show at 10
