Monday
Story time is back at all area libraries! Every day this week, there are multiple events for all ages. Here is the link for Pierce County (change the date in the calendar on the left). Here is the link for the Tacoma Public Library (change the date in the calendar on the left). If you’re one of my Thurston County readers, here is the link to Timberland regional library. St.Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor hosts a safety fair from 10AM-1 Free popcorn; meet McGruff the Crime Dog
Head to Olympia to see salmon returning at Tumwater Falls (More on this in an upcoming post)
Tuesday
It’s 1.00 day at the Starplex in Federal Way Tickets are just 2.00 other days. Madagascar 3 looks like the most kid friendly choice. Avengers and Spider Man are also showing.
All ages drop-in time at Jump! in Gig Harbor 3:30-5:30
Read with a dog at the Puyallup Public Library Kids can drop in and practice their reading with a patient, canine listener 3:30-4:30
Family Fun Day for Big Kids at Westfield Southcenter
Art After School at the Spanaway Library 4-5 For kids 6 and up. All materials provided!
Fetch Club at the Lakewood Library Science themed club for kids in grades 3-5 based on the popular, PBS series. No registration required at this location. 4-5PM
Wednesday
Tot Time at Learning Sprout Toys Weekly fun at this Tacoma toy store for the 2-4 set. You can double check on their fb page, before you head out. Juice and cookies provided.
Story Time at the Conservatory Popular event at the conservatory in Wright Park is back. Science and nature themed crafts and stories. Spiders today. 11AM
Source Yoga in North Tacoma begins a new series for parents and children 1-5
A Seattle Sounder Player visits the Fife Library at 3PM Drop in and get some tips! Gooooooal!
Fetch Club at the Gig Harbor Library Science themed club for kids in grades 3-5 based on the popular, PBS series. Registration required 4-5PM
Juice and Jammies Story Time at the Olympia Barnes and Noble 7PM Three stories and a little juice. Every Wednesday
Thursday
Creation Station at Learning Sprout Toys in Tacoma Call or check their fb page to confirm
Lego Madness in Orting 3:30 Drop in to the library for one of their “Totally Awesome Thursdays,” for school age kids
Chess Club is back at the Gig Harbor Library Kids in kindergarten and up are invited to drop in each week for 20 minutes of instruction and 40 minutes of game play 6-7 PM
Friday
Super (Community) Heroes at Story Time. Puyallup Public Library hosts members of the police department for this special, preschool story time. 10-11
Nature Numbers At the STAR Center in South Tacoma 10:30 Nature themed math lessons and fun for preschoolers 3-6. Registration and fees required.3 in a Tree Today
Read with a dog at the Puyallup Public Library Kids can drop in and practice their reading with a patient, canine listener 1-2
Harvest Festival at the Portland Avenue Community Center Activities from 5-7; movie 7-9 Event rotates around Tacoma community centers this month
