Want some fun ideas for your day? Just scroll one down! If you’re here via the TNT-welcome! I write about affordable activities just for kids and families in the South Puget Sound. I update every day, and I maintain the listings in the menu bar. I hope you’ll consider making SFM a regular stop!
If you’re one of my regular readers, and you’ve got a paper, run take a look at B7, and you can see an announcement about yours truly.
Every year the News Tribune lets regular readers write guest columns for the Sunday section. **Update: Apparently, these are actually in the Monday paper now. It’s o.k. if you’re laughing at me; I’m laughing at myself. If you don’t get the Monday paper normally, I’ll give you plenty of warning so you can grab one from Krispy Kreme or something. I’m not sure if they’ll be online, but I’ll try to find out. Yep, I made an announcement about the wrong day…..good thing I’m not a real journalist-lol.
At any rate, I got to be a columnist back in 2005, and it was so much fun I decided to try it again, and I was thrilled to be chosen. I’m a lifelong, daily paper reader (hey, it fights off mommy brain), so it’s kind of a big deal to me, even though I think my mom and her friends were a full half my readership last time. The columns won’t be like the blog. They’ll be more “Slice of life,” stuff; stories about my kids and family and our suburban adventures. I do hope you’ll check it out. There are six rotating columnists, so I’ll give you a heads-up before mine comes out, although I plan on reading the others as well.
Btw, I’m secretly convinced I’m way cuter than my picture. I was really hoping to get in for a cut and foil last week, but as some of you remember, I was sick until Thursday. Oh, well. Just goes to show you how when you get all full of yourself you can get ready for a big old smack down.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. I’d love to hear what you did over at the Facebook page.
I’ll have your ideas for What Sounds Fun This Week up later today!
