Welcome QueenBee readers! While this isn’t a bargain blog, it Is the place to come when you’re looking for affordable fun for your family in the South Puget Sound. I update daily, so have a look around and come back when you’re ready for your next adventure. If you’d just like to enter the Chinook Book giveaway, go right here!
For my regular readers, QueenBee Coupons is another great, local deal blog. I know not all of you are couponers, but if you’ve ever thought about it, Heather teaches classes and will be glad to come to your church or mom’s group for a nominal fee. For you experienced clippers, her post about Costco is a must-read:She’s compiled a complete spreadsheet of prices you can use when you’re trying to decide if that deal beats you know where.
If you’re fighting off those Sunday blahs, you have until 7:00 go get down to The Greek Festival at St. Nicholas . While not specifically a kids’ event, this one is a must-do if you’re a major fan of Greek food. They have lots of a la carte items in the dining tent that are reasonably priced.
You also have enough light to get in a walk at Swan Creek in Tacoma. Or grab the kids and the dogs and walk around your neighborhood. You can make it seem like an adventure by doing it penny hike style. What’s a penny hike? At each intersection let your kids take turns calling heads or tails. Go left on heads and right on tails. You’ll laugh at the looks you get from the neighbors as you walk in circles!
Tomorrow I’ll have a preview of events coming this weekend, as well as other easy, affordable ideas for getting out and having fun with your family.
